Vaughn Agricultural Research Services Ltd. (VARS) conducts independent research trials and studies for the crop protection industry, government, and grower associations. We perform these under strict controls and guidelines employing the latest technologies and scientific advances.

Our Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) experience and knowledge of all present and recently introduced regulations concerning the crop protection industry help our clients obtain the best possible scientific information and, consequently, make the best decisions concerning their development of products.

Our professionals have experience in a variety of crops under various soil and climatic conditions providing our clients with the versatility to test their products under most conditions.

We ensure that all our work complies to regulatory guidelines. As well, we can help our customers develop or review existing study plan features (eg. number of sites) in order to ensure that they meet the corresponding regulatory agency and/or organizational guidlines.

All residue studies undertaken by us are in accordance with the United States Environmental Protection Angency's (40 CFR Part 160) Good Laboratory Practices Standards (GLP) or with OECD guidelines. We believe that GLP regulations lead to greater accuracy, precision and reproducibility. The final reports we produce from studies we conduct will stand up to legal and scientific scrutiny. We are recognized as OECD GLP-compliant by the Standards Council of Canada.

Deliverables

Depending on the type of study and our clients' requirements, final reports deliverd by us are as extensive as necessary to reflect the studies' complexity, magnitude, product application, details and all client requirements.

Final reports include all field and laboratory data as well as the analytical evaluation. All our submitted reports are in a GLP-compliant format.

Experience

We have extensive experience in a variety of field and fruit crops, vegetables, turf and ornamentals grown in many different soil types and a wide range of climatic conditions. As most of the field equipment needed to conduct the cultural practices required for the experiments is at our disposal, we are able to simulate most agricultural management techniques right at our research facilities.

Each member of our team has the proper education, training and experience to perform the tasks assigned to him or her. We maintain a C.V., job description and training record on file for all staff.

We are a team of results oriented experts who can manage, implement and/or conduct entire research projects from study plan to final reports regardless of whether the project is local or spans several sites across the country.
