Practices Make Perfect
GLP means more to us than simply another industry
acronym. It's become an important part of the way we operate at VARS. GLP
refers to our compliance with the United States Environment Protection
Agency's FIFRA (40 CFR Part 160) Good Laboratory Practices Standards and
the similar OECD guidelines adopted by Canada. GLP improves the quality,
reliability, and reproducibility of research work.
We welcome quality assurance audits from sponsor
companies in connection with requested work and we appreciate their
suggestions for improvement. By working under these rigorous conditions,
we help our clients obtain the best possible scientific information and
make the best decisions concerning their developing products.
A Complete Solution For Your Next Project
We can put our GLP experience to work managing your
projects. You spell out your study requirements and we'll manage the
entire project, while keeping you informed on progress. Typically, the
sponsor provides the product, its properties, the types of studies
required, the number of sites needed, and the basic study plan guidelines.
We then handle the rest of the study management tasks.
Study management may include:
- Study plan writing
- Subcontracting the other locations
- Site approvals and preparation
- Raw data field notebooks
- Handling study plan amendments and deviations
- Ordering and shipping supplies
- Quality assurance audits
- Coordinating shipment of samples
- Residue data analysis
- Final report writing and archiving
From our field research facility we can conduct all
of your trial needs in Southern Ontario. We have developed a network of subcontractors across Canada and the Northern US with whom we have strong
working relationships. This extends our services to other regions. Our
experience has taught us how to maintain GLP quality standards over large
distances.
