How do you price your studies?

We believe our clients are best served in the long run by providing quality work. This is achieved by using professional researchers who receive regular training, properly maintained equipment, up-to-date office and communication technology, dependable vehicles and a properly functioning reseach facility.

We look at the various tasks involved (trial set up, application, sampling, assessment, etc.) and assign a time requirement based on our experience with the work. This time is then multiplied by our hourly rate. To this amount we add expenses such as land rent, supplies, shipping and soil characterization costs. The total is the quoted price.

What does the sponsor have to do once they give the go ahead?

Ship us the test product and, if necessary, clarify the required procedures. Upon receipt, we locate the site, do all applications, assess the pest control levels or sample the crop/soil, and provide a final report. Over the course of the season, we may ask your advice or prompt you to take a look at how well your product is working.

What do you do in the winter?

We get this a lot! Late fall and winter are spent writing final reports for large company-managed projects, revising SOPs, attending training seminars, going to crop protection meetings, and preparing quotations for next year's work. AND... yes, we squeeze in a little vacation.
