From study plan to development to the final report,
we do it all!
RAC (Raw Agricultural
Commodity) studies. It is the responsibility of the
pesticide registrant to develop accurate and reliable residue data for
their products. These data determine the magnitude of the residues
present in the crop and support the pre-harvest intervals set out on
proposed product labels. From study plan to development to the final
report, we can assist pesticide manufacturers and formulators in
fulfilling this critical data requirement from all the crop field
trial regions. The VARS facility is located in zone 5.

We plant, maintain, treat and harvest
We have gained extensive experience in a variety of
crops. We have the necessary field equipment to plant, maintain,
treat and harvest all of the common crops. Typically, these are spring
and winter grains, corn, soybeans, canola, potatoes, tobacco, and several types
of vegetables. Fruit crops such as apple, pear, peach, strawberry, and
grapes of all types are also available.
Pesticide applications to field crops and vegetables
are made with hand-held or tractor-mounted equipment. We treat tree fruit
crops with commercial-style research equipment. Strawberries are also available. All our applications are designed to closely simulate
the commercial use of pesticide products.
